Book publishers...?

What are some of names of book publishers that don't require the author to have a degree in english?

All Answers To Questions

Answer 1

Book publishers don't ask you what degrees you have. They ARE interested in what experiences (life, or educational) you have that gives you the background and ability to write the book you've told them you wrote.

Answer 2

No publisher requires a degree. They require good, solid writing skills. They require the ability to follow directions when submitting query letters and manuscripts. They require professionalism. But they don't ask for a degree. Large publishing houses will only consider agented works. An agent helps you submit your work to publishers. Many small presses will consided unagented materials, but you MUST always follow their submission guidelines.

Answer 3

Most authors do not have a degree. Where are you getting your information?

Answer 4

http://www.lulu.com/ go there, they will publish a book thats writin by a four year old :)

Answer 5

Rave: None require this. There are many publishers out there and believe me, it is hard to find one. I spent two years and many, many manuscripts sent with only three replies to the negative. One took three years to reply? Just type in (Canadian) USA or English Literary Agency's and try some of these. If your work is excepted there are no charges to you. They will give you upfront $ and a percentage on books sold. Usually about 15%. Best selling authors can demand much, more. Good luck. I went the self publish route. Very hard row to hoe. It worked for me only because I am retired and had time to do many book signings. I write this mainly to warn you about the bad guys out there trying to take your money for nothing.
