Do you know any reliable literary agents or publishing houses? I have a book for teenagers about designing kites, telescopes and etc. I would like to publish it. I am not interested in self-publishing service.

If you were to check out the website Preditors & Editors, you'd find a detailed listing of agents and publishers interested in non-fiction books.
Or you could go to the public library and look for the research books Literary Market Place and the Writers Market. Both have current listings in them.
Good luck to you! Answer 2
Also check with Absolute Write Water Cooler's Bewares and Background Checks for information. If there has been any problems with an editor or publisher or agent, there will be a thread there about it. The best way to avoid getting burned is to advocate for yourself and do your research. It as saved many an author from being burned badly. Pax -C Answer 3
There are a couple of really good websites to help you find a literary agent. One is agentquery.com, the other is QueryTracker.net.
agentquery.com is a list of literary agents.
QueryTracker.net has a list of literary agents, but it also has tools to help you keep track of who you already queried and who you haven't, plus more.
Both sites make an effort to keep scammers off their lists, but it is a good idea to still double check yourself. A good reference for scammers is the Absolutewrite.com forum. << GO BACK to questions
