Basically a writer who writes fiction AND non-fiction.

There are lots. How about Tobias Wolff, who has written much fiction (mostly short stories) and also the memoits "This Boy's Life" and "In Pharaoh's Army." Or Philip Roth, who has written many novels as well as "Patrimony" and "The Facts." The list is endless.

Lots of novelists have written autobiographies. One of my favourite is Agatha Christie's autobiography, which is really good.
