HELP!!! i need to write a synopsis for my book but...?
here's the problem. i'm doing this to send it to an agent and the whole story is going to be more than one book. so, should i write the synopsis about just the one book that's done so far or about the whole story?

Just concentrate on the one book first and foremost, but if you feel like experimenting and tweaking the proposal, *hint* that there is more than one book--but don't go overboard and begin describing that one.
If it doesn't work, go back to what you have for the first book and run with it. :0) Answer 2
married, your synopsis should cover only the book you're trying to sell, not the series that begins with that book.
Ideally, each book of the series should have its own beginning, middle, and end and be able to stand alone, not work only as part of a series.
When and if an agent bites at your query and synopsis for the one book, and indicates she wants to represent you, that's the time to discuss series. << GO BACK to questions
