Yes, I've read quite a bit about the French Revolution. What I learned is that when the gap between the rich and poor gets too big, and when the poor pay a higher tax rate than the rich, head will roll. Literally. I don't think conservatives have ever heard of the French Revolution, as they want to go back to the "good old days" of insanely rich noble families who live tax-free off inherited money without working, and have an army of serfs and servants to support their opulent lifestyles. How did that work out for the French nobles?

It seems that the republicans have learned how to follow much more then the democrats. Republicans were all for nature and preserving parks, they believed all men should be treated equal and wanted to abolish slavery. They were educated and understood science and history, they wanted to build infrastructure for the future of our children. Now republicans follow the church and would destroy any park if they could profit a dime from the oil, natural gas or timber. They have stooped to using underlying racial tones about a great black president. You laugh, but you should go back and look at history and how proud the republicans were and what they stood for. Its sad at what they have become.
