Has anyone written childrens books and had them published? ?
I write childrens books but have no ilustrator. Has anyone published a childrens book and used the publishing companys illustrator? If so, how much did it cost and what company did you use or recomend?
Anyone heard of Dorrance Publishing Company?

I'm in the process of having one published. It's a hassle. Publishing companies prefer to have books or drafts or even just the premise of the book submitted without illustrations. Yes, it's fine to let the publishing company do the illustrations, if you approve of them. Also, you need to have an agent for you to really have a shot at publication, but you really have to be careful.

Dorrance is a vanity (self publishing) press. They are at least more honest about that than many others. You should consider traditional publishing first.
