12-point font, not any font style is necessary (you can do traditional ones like Georgia, Times New Roman, but don't do fonts like Comic Sans MF), simgle-space it. Leave about an inch and a half margin on the right side so that it binds together without covering up words. You can start the chapter wherever you want. But the format of your book should be:
Front cover (the outside cover)
-blank page
-cover page (where it says your name and title)
-(since you're not publishing you don't need the publishing information)
-after the cover page put your table of contents if you have one
-introduction if you have one
-prologue if you have one
-and then start your chapter 1 Answer 2

If you are using microsoft Word, there is actually a button you can click to type it as a book. On Microsoft 2007 edition, at the bottom of a new file, on the right, there are five links to choose from: Print Layout, Full Screen Reading, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft. You want the Full Screen Reading link. It will display your writing in book format. << GO BACK to questions
