depends on your style, actually, and your editor's decision :)

The size of each chapter is totally up to you. Your chapters could be only 2 or 3 pages long, or they could be 15 or 20 pages long. Regarding manuscript format, 8-1/2x11 inch plain white paper printed on one side 1 inch margin on all sides 12 point Courier or Times new Roman font Double spaced between lines Your name and address on the first page Your last name, title and page number on all other pages Approximate word count on the first page Start new chapters on the next page If an agent or publisher wants something specific in the manuscript, be sure to include it, but those will work in general.
