How do you get the format on Word 2000 for writing a book?

I've been writing a book - but i have no idea how to get the format for a book on it ! I've been on all these websites, but they aint too helpful ! If any of you know, please tell me ! THnx Oh, sorry to be picky, but no links to websites pleeeeaase !

Why are you trying to format it? Just write it. When you're done, make sure everything is double-spaced and you've put page breaks before your chapters, and that's pretty much all the formatting you need.

You don't need to. If and when you get to the point of submitting to agents or publishers, they will tell you what format to use - but it won't be a format which looks like a book, it will be things like "double spaced, 12 point, one inch margins". If you want to vanity publish, sites like lulu have formats you can download. I won't link you to them, since you asked me not to.
