I don't know if I plan on going professional with my writing, but if I decided to, what do you do to get a book published? If it is too much to describe, a link to a site that explains it wouls also suffice.

Buy a copy ofd Writers Market and read the first section. It explains just about everything you will need to know. Then I would suggest a live writers group at a library or bookstore where you could meet with other authors and talk. That helps tremendously. You can pick up a lot of good recommendations that way.
