My Book is going to be 20,000 words, and should be available worldwide. Does anyone know how much books I could sell?

It all depends on the content, your publisher, and how the book is marketed for mass chains to pick up. I guess a question that I pose to you, is "How much do you want to make?" because as an author, you get royalties for each copy sold (depending on your contract).

It's hard to say, the publishing world is pretty unpredictable. All I can tell you is publicize, publicize, publicize. Do book signings. Put up a web site about your book. Don't expect to be as successful as J.K. Rowling or The Berenstein Bears (though it would be cool if you were, right?).

I would think it would depend on just how good the story is. Seems like a lot words for a children's book but I gather it must be for "older" children? Good luck! Answer 5
Depends on a lot of things. Promotion of the book, if the story is popular, is it going to lead to merchandising? Are the illustrations eye catching? It's difficult to project how many will sell,or even if it will be successful. Some books start out with good ideas and then fall flat when published. Case in point, a teddy bear was produced-cute bear;but, he wore glasses, children didn't like the bear. A book was written to accompany the bear;but, since the children didn't like the bear the book was not successful. Answer 6
