Base it on the Uk BBC programme Merlin A lot of magic in that...just change the characters

I'm writing a novel at the moment,too. I also wanted to add some magic and so i set about studying Greek Mythology. I bought lots of books and visited plenty of websites. You won't believe the creatures and people in some of the stories. I found everything I could ever need doing that. I got this tipreading an interview with Terry Pratchett (who has plenty of magic in his books). It really helps, honest.

The answer is really just to read other books. I myself am also writing a book - i wuld be published by now if i had the money - and am happy to help. Depends on the type of magic, like, harry potter magic? or magic creatures? For the magic creatures, you could have: griffins, mermaids, fairies, pixies, lepracons, and loads more. I can suggest you read "The Divide" series, its brilliant and full of magic and magical creatures. Good luck with your book!
