I'm pretty sure your editor will tell you how to format it. Just write it how you like first and when you bring it to an editor, they can show you how to format it. Answer 2
Use Microsoft Word.
12 point Courier or Times new Roman font.
8-1/2 x 11 plain white paper printed on one side only.
1 inch margin on all sides.
Double spaced between lines.
Your name and address on the first page.
Your last name and the title on all other pages.
An approximate word count on the first page (use Word's word counter).
Visit http://www.writersdigest.com to find out the things that I missed, but that will get you most of the way. Answer 3
Publishers accept manuscripts that are done in simple formatting. It means that the lesser page breaks you have, the better. As much as possible, write your book in a standard word file MSWord for Windows perhaps. Do away with quotations, italicized words, etc. I hope I have helped and good luck with your book! :) << GO BACK to questions
