Ideas for writing a childrens book to help with speech development.?
My son has a speech development problem. He finds it hard constructing a sentence and associating verbs with the actions.
It has inspired me to make a book for him to help him become familar with the forms of speech.
Does anyone have any good ideas to help me construct a story for him? Thanks

Whales in the ocean communicate with musical sounds (and use echo-location like bats)...
Maybe you could come up with a story about a Mute Boy, A Whale, and a Bat, or something like that that would illustrate how nature uses many forms of communication methods for each species, and such...
(Just an idea...best I could do on short notice...have the three different characters be traveling somewhere together (probably the ocean around some islands or ship or something...maybe the boy is a castaway survivor and the whale and bat help him...) Answer 2
Try to create magical creatures mingled up with a boy his age and then try to build a story about words. May be evil words and sentences that want to control the world but the boy along with his magical creatures will have to fight the evil sentences using another powerful and good sentences. Hope i helped. Good luck with your son. I really appreciate your efforts as a mother to help him. Answer 3
