I'm writing a book do i have to add my Synopsis?
Some one told me that I don't have to worry about the Synopsis, the publisher does that, Is this true, or do I have to write it myself?
All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
When you send your manuscript in, the publisher will want to see a synopsis. The publisher cannot read every single manuscript sent in.
If you want to know exactly what a certain publisher is looking for, check the Writer's Market.
After a book is published, though (this depends on the publisher), the back-cover synopsis will usually be written by someone from marketing. Answer 2
Synopsis sounds like penis Answer 3
Usually the editor/publisher takes your story into account him/herself and writes the synopsis that will best entice the readers. It's their job to keep the money flowing in, and they're good at it - so they know how to write a synopsis well.
It may be a nice gesture however to have a small synopsis written up yourself of what you think your book is in a nutshell. This may also boost your authenticity! << GO BACK to questions
