In need of help with a book cover design?
I was given a short story to make a book cover for. The story is basically about this young girl's family, and the girl focuses on her parents. The parents are really light-hearted and playful. The girl gets into how the parents met and she said when the dad tells the story, he says he had get past a monster that was woman on top and lion on bottom before he met the mom. He said the lion liked to talk and play play guessing games.
Every idea I tried to build on for this design isn't that great. I am so confused as to how to approach this. Does anyone have ideas?

Imagine the cover. The girl listening with awe to his dad telling a story while the girl pops a thought bubble. Inside that thought bubble we can see a perspective further in the background the girl's parents looking at each other happy and in love while we see on the foreground blacked out silhouettes of the angry monster and lion looking at them.
The title of the book could be placed in between the thought bubble or underneath the the images. Answer 2
The monster is a sphinx, in Greek mythology they are associated with riddles.
Try the face of the girl with a sphinx reflected in her eye. << GO BACK to questions
