Well i've written a book and its about 50,000 words... I want to publish it and I have heard alot of talk about Kindle, Amazon self publishing. I just want some pros/cons on self publishing on kindle. Is it a good idea? Is there any bad points to it? Will you make alot of money from it?

Publishing yourself on Kindle can be a good idea if you are willing to do what it takes to get a professional product. How many times have you edited your book? Have you had it professionally edited and copy-edited? Have you hired a professional to design your cover? Do you know how to format or have you hired a professional to format and upload for you? Are you willing to do lots of promotion? If you answered negatively to any of these questions then it is not a good idea to self-publish and you most likely will not make any money. Even if you do all these things, success is still not guaranteed, but you improve your chances enormously.
