I am writing my book in present tense (like the Hunger Games) and its being easier for me this way. I just want to know if you would be interested in a book written in this tense. Thank you.

90% of the time I write in the present tense.
And the hunger games, like you have said, was/is a massive hit so of course people wouldn't mind it being written in the present tense. Answer 2
I don't mind reading a book in present tense if it's written well. Present tense is harder to write than past and less people can pull it off. Answer 3
Present tense is harder to write in, I find, but I feel if you make a whole story in present tense, your skills will get better. I would love to read something in present tense as long as it is written right, it can be very good. Good luck and keep writing :) Answer 4
The Time Traveler's Wife (my favourite book) is written in present tense. So, yes, I would be interested. I actually prefer reading books in present tense, it's more engaging. Answer 5
If the novel is well written, it doesn't really matter to me what tense it's written in. Answer 6
I don't care what tense the story is written in, as long as it is well written. Answer 7
That's a great idea! There are a lot of books written in present tense (Jodie Picoult does it all the time). It adds an extra essence to the book that I always love reading. I usually write in past tense personally, but I have thought about writing a story in present tense. It seems like an interesting twist, to make the characters and the story more interesting and unique than any of my others. << GO BACK to questions
