I am creating a poetry book of my life and "experiences" (like what I've been through and stuff). I know I am a creative and talented writer when I put my mind to it. Anyway, I titled it Life In Ink but I don't know what to put for the illustration. Any suggestions? Preferably something simple.

maybe you could have a photo of you in some part of your life and a picture of an ink bottle and have one over the top of the other but have the top pic transparent so you can see the bottom pic. i suggest you photo on the bottom and the pic of the ink bottle on top so it looks like you life in ink.....i think that's rather clever but then again it might not be what your looking for, but its just an idea so its no big deal you can take it and turn it into something else that sounds even better.....well i hope this helped.

I like the other answer given above. I think thats a good idea. You should defently include ink drops, smears, smudges, or blots in it.
