What courses would I need to take for a job in book/magazine cover design?
I was thinking about a job as a designer of book covers or magazine covers. I know I will need art courses but what courses exactly am I going to need in order to get a job like this?
dancingwillies is a double meaning. dancing obviously dancing, willies standing for two things...1. willy my cat, and 2. the willies from giselle, my favorite ballet.
the scoop with that is you can only dance for so long professionally, so I want to go to college and get a degree in something that will give me a career after my dancing days are over.

Hey take a course of newspaper editing...
what do you mean by dancing willies Answer 2
I work for the largest magazine manufacturer in the world, RR Donnelley & Sons. We do it all in our factory, we take what the customer wants and make it into a finished product and then ship it all over the world. What i would suggest you take are courses in graphic design. All of the magazine covers we print are created using some sort of graphic arts program. I would also suggest finding a part time job in a printing facility, just to become familiar with how the product is manufactured. I hope this information will be helpful to you. << GO BACK to questions
