any ideas for writing a childrens book ?

i dont normally write stories but im bored and might enjoy writing children stories. but i dont know what to do it on. Any ideas ? What does your children like reading and what genre are they ? i was thinking of writing one about a wolve and a platapus . To make it more interesting. Yan'o what I mean ? But I also would like photos ( hand drawn ) but im crap at drawing and the only person that could draw was my nan. but shes old, she wouldnt do anything now.

i think you should write about a bad situation a lot of children have and at the end have it resolved or something like that. that way it will make children feel that every 1 else goes through tough times too. its kinda hard to explain but i hope this helped! :)
