i'm toying with the idea of writing a book and have questions concerning the copyrights of specific images.?

i'd like to write a coffee table sized book on classic cinema. on one side of the page i would have a detailed synopsis, and the other a still from the film. what type of resistance would i encounter from the films not in the public domain?

They won't let you publish the book without expressed written consent.

you would have to write to all those companies that uphold the rights to those film and propose your idea and ask if it can be in your book ~~~Daddy's Baby Girl~~~
