I have been thinking about writing a childrens book. Does anyone know if there is a site where you can post a story and people can tell you if it's good enough to get published?

Yes - go to http://www.abctales.com and post it there. Then go to the Discussion Forums and ask for guidance. If you flag up that you have come from yahoo answers then I will personally give it a look. I run ABCtales.com and have a reasonable knowledge of the writing world! It's all free!

there is only one way to write a children's book: get off the stupid internet and start doin' it, honey!

you can do what Madonna did... when you write it, read it to a children and wait for his/her reaction. if he liked it, then publish it (if you are going to do so). but..
