what software is best for writing fiction books?
I have 50K of words written for a fiction book but don't find MS word that friendly - can anyone suggest a relatively inexpensive alternative?

What's not friendly about MS Word? It's the industry standard, so you'd better get used to it. Answer 2
As Old Lady noted, Word is the industry standard. I used to use WordStar for DOS (which I liked a lot), but it does not interface with Windows. The only other main word processor out there is Word Perfect, but I do not see it being any more or less "friendly" the MS Word. I also have access to a word processor in Microsoft Works, but it is just Word Lite. In the end Word is probably your best bet because if an editor wants an electronic copy of your manuscript (and they will) they want it presented in Word format. << GO BACK to questions
