Hi, I plan on starting to write a book soon. I also was planning on sending it either into a publisher or self publishing, I really haven't decided yet. Anyways, I was wondering if there was any specific format that I need to follow to write a book. I am using Microsoft Word 2003. Format, meaning spacing, font, font size, margins, layout, etc. Thank you :D

Im writing a book thats poetic, but then again it gives great advice on the concepts of life....(very dramatic), but i need headers on how to format my book. My book is about a super-hero, like Artemis Fowl, but different. I was wondering if 1st person would be good as I want it to be unique. Also, which tense would I use? Because I'm a big fan of Louis Sachar and he writes his books in present tense, i think, he writes his books like this: "The door opens, the elves gasp". And i think that's really cool.
