Houdini is Back!

In 2005 a Siamese kitten captured hearts all over Connecticut in T.J. Banks’ young adult novel, Houdini. After selling out hundreds of hardcover editions, Houdini returns with a new, paperback design.

A Siamese only gives his heart to a human once. For Houdini, an abandoned, down-on-his-luck Siamese kitten, that human is Jill Leonard. After smuggling him home on an airplane, Jill gives Houdini a good home with her other cats. It’s not long before Houdini settles in to life as a loved pet, but he soon finds that life has hidden dangers of its own. When he inadvertently strays away from home a cat-loving artist befriends him and cares for him until he can be returned to the child who first gave him love.

T.J. Banks has also written Souleiado and Catsong, which recently won the Merial Human-Animal Bond Award. A contributing editor to laJoie and former stringer for the Associated Press, she has received awards for her work from ByLine and The Writing Self.
