Can A New “King” (Barack Obama Or John McCain) Right Our Troubled Economy?

How detrimental have their landmark decisions been? (Excerpt from America’s Godly Heritage by David Barton)

- Since 1963, when prayer was taken out of school, unwed birth rates of 15-19 year olds doubled, and pregnancies for girls 10-14 went up 553% (all under the guise of “Separation of Church and State.”)

- Divorce rates from 1963 to 1983 were up 117%. For fifteen years prior to 1963, divorce had been declining.

- Since 1963, single families were up 140%, single families with children were up 160%, and unmarried couples living together went up 353%.

- Violent crimes went up 544% since religious principles were removed from schools in 1963. Thomas Jefferson said, “Religion is the friend to government because it teaches morals of the heart. This means we are not dealing with murder, instead we deal with the religious morals which say do not hate. When we eliminate hate, there is no murder. The commandment to not lust, stops adultery or rape.”

James Langston is senior pastor of the Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, an inter-denominational fellowship ministry based in Italy . He is ordained and licensed through World Evangelism Fellowship. He is a 1976 graduate of El Campo high school in El Campo , Texas .

James Langston joined the navy in June 1976 at the rank of E-1 (enlisted, pay grade 1). He was advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer, E- 7 in September of 1988. Chief Langston was selected for commission as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO-2, officer pay grade W2) in September 1991 and a Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG, officer pay grade O2E) in January 1996. He retired in 2003 after 27-years: 15 years enlisted and 12 years as a commissioned officer.
