SHREVEPORT, LA, March 11, 2008 - Poet Harry E. Gilleland, Jr. offers eighty-one of his latest works in his newly published book, Poetic Musings of an Old, Fat Man, released 29 February 2008 through Lulu Press. Poet Gilleland is best known for his pioneering use of the "storoem" format. A storoem is a story-poem, i.e. a story told with poetic techniques. This collection contains both rhyming poems and storoems, as well as free-verse poems, acrostic poems, and limericks.

Harry Gilleland has now published three print books of his poetry, plus a fantasy novella entitled Bob the Dragon Slayer and a contemporary romance novel entitled White Lightning Road. Around poetry forums and writing sites on the Internet, Gilleland is known as LaHarry (Louisiana Harry) or HarryG.

In this latest book, poet Gilleland addresses a wide variety of subjects, offering his observations on everyday events, Nature, the nature of Man, tales of fantasy, love, and much more. His poetry is written so that both poetry lovers and those who don't usually read poetry will all be entertained and delighted with his easily understood and direct style.

Poetic Musings of an Old, Fat Man is a 172-page, 6" x 9" format book available currently through Lulu Press. (29 February, 2008, ISBN 978-1435712423). The print book is priced at $12.98, while the ebook is downloadable for $1.99 at Lulu Press.
