Barbara Foster announces the release of her newest novel, SUICIDE OR MURDER, published by Dragon Publishing, Sycamore, Illinois

SUICIDE OR MURDER is a fictional story inspired by an actual event. Ms Foster takes the reader through the lives of the McAlester family. Calvin McAlester, who promised his mother to become a minister, finds the perfect woman for a minister's wife in June Moore. Calvin is a con man more than a minister, as he schemes his way into a church, then commits the very sins he preaches about. When he loses his church, he seeks another, until the family settles in Rockford.
Calvin meets the attractive red head, Sandra Gutherie. As their affair deepens, Calvin has to decide what he wants to do about June. He walks a fine line, as he schemes to get rid of June; to keep Sandra; but most of all, to keep his church.
When June is found dead, he proclaims his grief, yet continues the affair with Sandra, denying it at first; then admitting it and marrying her, hoping he will not lose his ministry. When June's death is questioned, Calvin has to fight the family as well as the church trying to keep his ministry from falling apart.
Has Calvin committed the unforgiveable sin? Will he continue his con game, playing with people's lives, while portraying a man of God?

Barbara Foster was born in southwest Iowa, and lived her life in the midwest. Married for 46 years, she has two daughters and four grandchildren. She and her husband retired to Lake Eufaula in 2005. Barbara self published her first book, CASSIE'S CLEARING in 2003, followed by A TIME FOR CHANGE in 2004 and THE LEWIS HOUSE SAGA in 2005. She continues to writing, with new novels waiting to be published soon. Her writing also includes short stories with the Amazon Shorts Program, with three ready for purchase and a fourth just submitted.
